The "Tokyo Tama Derby match" of Japan Futsal League (F-league) between ASV Pescadola Machida and Tokyo Fuchu Athletic F.C. was held at Tokyo Machida city on the 22nd October 2016 with the 1,279 spectators !

As the real local derby match of futsal in Western Tokyo "Tama" area, it was really exciting and interesting until the end of the match and Machida defeated Fuchu by 4-3.

During the last 10 minutes, both teams got 3 goals and final goal was scored by Machida just 1 minute 33 second before the time up. 

Machida wins six straight victories with the home game and it's even now as the "Tama Derby match" of the season 2016-2017.

The "Tokyo Derby match" of Japan Futsal League (F-League) between Pescadola Machida and Fugador Sumida was held at Tokyo Machida city on the 6th August 2016 with the 1,440 spectators !

It was a really fantastic and great match between top two Tokyo's teams with lots of exciting moments until the end of the match.

As an advantage of home team, Pescadola Machida defeated Fugador Sumida by 3-2.

Machida wins four straight victories and never lost with the home games and Sumida lost for the first time during this F-league season 2016-2017.

Until the last time, it was very thrilling by the power play of Sumida and the spectators were so excited with the victory of Machida !

Awa Odori is one of the major Japanese traditional folk dances with the traditional instruments such as Drums, Shamisen, Flute, etc.

The original area is Tokushima in Shikoku area, however we can see this kind of folk dance festival at various places in Japan nowadays.

In the Western Tokyo Tama area, there are two popular Awa Odori festivals, in Koganei city and in Mitaka city.

In 2016, the 38th festival in Koganei was held on the 23th and 24th July, however the 49th festival in Mitaka will be held on the 20th and 21st August so you can enjoy watching the fantastic moment with the traditional culture !

The 50th Ome Marathon race will be on 21st February 2016.

This race is actually a 30km running race however a lot of Japanese top athletes such as Naoko Takahashi and Mizuki Noguchi, two Gold Medalist of Olympics games participated this event before as training and practicing for the big title.

This year, it's a memorial race competition as 50th arranged race and many people will support this fantastic marathon race.

Tourism EXPO Japan event was held from 25-27 September 2015. 

This event is the largest travel promotion event for both outbound and inbound tourism in Japan.

Every year it is held around mid of September at Tokyo Big Sight and don't miss this travel event if you are around in Tokyo for this period !

In November there is a traditional festival of "Tori no Ichi" at Japanese shrines to pray for good luck and good fortune.

Okunitama Shrine in Tokyo Fuchu city is one of the most famous shrines for Tori no Ichi festival in Western Tokyo Tama area and it will be held on the 5th, 17th, and 29th November in 2015.

It would be very interesting for you to discover Japanese traditional culture and let's enjoy it !

City of Film Chofu "Summer" Fireworks event will be held on the 22nd August 2015 from 6:50pm till 7:50pm at Tama River near Keio Tamagawa station of Keio Sagamihara line.

It's one of the largest fireworks event in Tokyo Tama area and also it's easy to come to see from Shinjuku area, so let's enjoy Japanese summer fireworks event if you have not seen yet !　

今週末、映画のまち調布“夏”花火大会が開催されますね。

開催会場周辺では着々と準備が進められております。今年は調布市制施行６０周年記念でもあり、３００メートルのナイアガラ花火が復活されるそうです。

The final of Japan High school baseball tournament in Western Tokyo area was held today.

Waseda Jitsugyo high school won the final against Tokai Univ Sugao high school and go the national tournament in August. Come on Waseda Jitsugyo for the final stage as representative of Western Tokyo Tama area !

今日は、全国高校野球選手権大会西東京大会決勝が行われ、早稲田実業が東海大菅生に逆転し、甲子園への切符を手にいれました。

来月の甲子園が楽しみですね！西東京・多摩地域の代表として頑張れ！

2015 Fireworks event at Tokyo Racecourse in Fuchu city will be held from 7:30pm on 12 July this year. This event is held only once a year and don't miss this fantastic event if you are in Tokyo or share this info with your friends in Tokyo !  (subject to weather conditions)

今年の東京競馬場花火大会開催決定しました。毎年開催日決定が直前まで分からない花火大会ですが、やっと府中市広報に掲載されました。２０１５年は７月１２日、午後１９時３０分から２０時までの予定です。荒天中止で延期しないので、当日はいい天気であることを願ってます！
