One of the greatest moments in terms of local sport in Western Tokyo Tama area will be coming soon again !
Japanese top futsal league (F-League) match between ASV Pescadola Machida and iTokyo Fuchu Athletic F.C. will be held at Fuchu municipal gymnasium in Tokyo Fuchu city on the 24th December 2016.
Both Machida city and Fuchu city are the communities of Western Tokyo Tama area so it's called the match as "The Tokyo Derby" or "The Tama Derby" for the matches of two teams.
For this season 2016-2017, for the first "Tokyo Tama Derby match", Fuchu beat Machida by 2-1 in Fuchu and Machida beat Fuchu by 4-3 in Machida for the second derby match with the advantage as home game for both teams.
The next match in Fuchu would be the last derby match for F-league 2016-2017 season so it's expected the amazing game as local derby match.

Tokyo Racecourse Fireworks event 2016
2016 Tokyo Racecourse Fireworks event was held on the 10th July this year.
This fireworks event is arranged as the appreciation for the citizens of Fuchu city, however it's one of popular summer fireworks events in Western Tokyo Tama area now.
The date would be confirmed just before the event therefore please double check with Tokyo Racecourse in early July if you would like to visit there !

Tokyo Tama Derby F-League July 2016 Result
The "Tama Derby match" of Japan Futsal League (F-League) was held at Tokyo Fuchu city on the 1st July 2016 with the 1,421 spectators !
(Even 1,200 seats only for the place at Fuchu municipal gymnasium)
It was a really fantastic and great match between two same local area's teams with lots of exciting moments.
As an advantage of the home team, Fuchu Athletic F.C. defeated Pescadola Machida by 2-1. (final goal was just 2 minutes before the time up)
Until the last time, it was very thrilling and the spectators were so excited !
This "Tama Derby match" will be held with two more matches for F-League 2016-2017 season and don't miss these great matches !

Japan Derby 2016
Here is one of the hottest spots in Japan with the horse race course of "Japan Derby".
This 83rd event in 2016 would be held at Tokyo Racecourse in Tokyo Fuchu city on the 29th may 2016 and the main race of the Derby would be held at 3:40pm.
Expected of around 100,000-150,000 spectators so you would have a very exciting moments here !
No need to bed the race but you could enjoy the atmosphere !

Plum flowers have already started blooming !
Found this plum tree in Tokyo Fuchu city and you would be able to see these kind of flowers in Tokyo and Western Tokyo Tama area until the beginning of March.

The 30th Fuchu Futsal Tournament
Tokyo Fuchu city is known as one of the hottest cities for Futsal sport in Tokyo.
There is a professional futsal team of Fuchu Athletic FC and at this team's home ground, Fuchu Municipal Gymnasium, the 30th Fuchu Futsal Tournament competition will be held on the 9th, 10th, and 11th January 2016.
From the kids to the elders, many people join this event and it would be interesting to watch the players.
If you are interested in soccer, football, and futsal, let's enjoy watching the games as free entrance.
Musashidai Park Tokyo Fuchu
Musashisai park is located in the north part of Tokyo Fuchu city and it is the border place with Kokubunji city.
The park is located along the Kokubunji Cliff, so you would be able to see the up-down at the park.
It is not so famous park however you would be able to discover your favorites as hidden spot !
Access from Nishi-Kokubunji station of JR Chuo Line.
[Updated] Tori no Ichi Festival Tokyo Fuchu
Just let us introduce some updated pictures of Tori no Ichi festivel at Okunitama Shrine in Tokyo Fuchu city.
It was held on the 29th Novemver 2015 as "San no Tori (the third event)"
To get "Kumade (Bamboo rake)" decorated with lucky charms that bring in good fortune, there were many people at the Shrine.
The price is starting from 3000 yen till TBC...it depends on the size.
This event is held in November each year and even if you are just looking and visiting this festival, you would be able to discover the Japanese culture and enjoy the festival.
However let's get this kind of Japanese traditional fortune items when you visit here !

Fuchu-no-mori Park
Fuchu no mori park is located near Higashi-Fuchu station of Keio line by 20 minutes only from Shinjuku station.
At this park, there is a Fuchu municipal museum and Fuchu no mori Art Museum, so it would be enough for your visit here as one day short trip from the central Tokyo.
Specially nice spot for the picnic during Sakura spring season, Red leaves autumn season, and BBQ time, so let's enjoy your visit !
Top of Mt. Sengen Tokyo Fuchu
Mt. Sengen is a small mountain by 79.6m height at Sengenyama park in Tokyo Fuchu city.
There is Sengen Shrine on the top of the mountain and it's a kind of hidden powerspot.
Also there is a one of the top 100 spots for Mt. Fuji view and it's a nice walking place for the healing under the nature.

Turn point 50km Walking Race Tokyo Olympic 1964
This is the memorial stone monument of turnning point of 50km Walking Race in Tokyo Olympic games 1964.
It's located along Koshukaido Road near Fuchu station of Keio line.
If you are interested in truck race as sports, it would be a nice place to visit.

Mt. Fuji view spot Tokyo Fuchu
If you don't have a time to visit Mt. Fuji, you would be able to visit some Mt. Fuji view spot in Western Tokyo Tama area.
Sengenyama mountain is a small mountain by 80m height located in Tokyo Fuchu city.
There is a view point for Mt. Fuji at Sengenyama Park which is one of the top 100 Mt. Fuji view spots in Kanto Region.
Of course it will depend on the weather conditions, we hope that you would be able to see the mountain as your great memory of visiting Japan.

Musashino no mori Park in Mitaka Chofu Fuchu Tokyo
Musashino no mori Park is located near Chofu Airport in Tokyo Mitaka, Chofu, and Fuchu.
It's a large park with historical spot of Ohsawa aircraft concrete hangers and a nice spot for picnic with aircraft from the Chofu airport.
都立武蔵野の森公園は、東京都三鷹市、調布市、府中市にまたがる大きな公園です。
